The Bryn Mawr Heritage Trust , is a not for profit community land trust that aims to preserve and restore the traditional medieval long house and farm stead of Bryn Mawr, near Llanerfyl, Powys in mid-Wales.
With an emphasis on community ownership, heritage and traditional rural skills we seek to reconnect people with their past through practical hands on activities , to learn by doing , in an attempt to reconnect with the historic buildings, landscape and environment of Bryn Mawr.
To make this happen we need supporters as members and share holders to raise the funds to purchase a long term lease on the site and restore it to a working traditional farm stead for future generations.
Please see our website at www.bmheritagetrust.co.uk for details.
Visit Bryn Mawr during one of our Open Days or come and see our display during the summer at various venues, including the Fordhall farm summer open day on August 19th where we will be providing a medieval living history camp and archery display set within the earth works of the Motte and Bailey castle.
